About TenneT
TenneT is rapidly expanding to achieve its strategic goals, playing a pivotal role in the energy transition. We are currently seeking a dedicated Sub Project Lead - Cable Installation Nearshore (m/w/d) who will make significant contributions to our projects.
Your Role at TenneT
As part of an offshore grid connection initiative, you will oversee the installation of cables in tidal zones up to the 10m waterline. Collaborating with your team, you will manage the project comprehensively, including permits, detailed planning, and the transition to operations.
- You will be responsible for delivering the defined technical scope while adhering to all relevant TenneT and contractual obligations, as well as other requirements such as permits, safety, legal, and technical work plans.
- Your role includes reviewing pertinent procedures and work plans, monitoring EPC contractors to ensure they meet their contractual commitments, particularly in delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget.
- You will coordinate the efforts of TenneT subcontractors, including Client Representatives and environmental specialists.
- Your responsibilities will also involve supervising on-site activities and ensuring that all documentation meets TenneT standards.
- You will provide reports to the project regarding the performance of EPC contractors, focusing on progress and changes.
Your Qualifications
- A university degree (FH/H) in civil or mechanical engineering or a comparable qualification, demonstrating an academic level of working and thinking.
- Experience in offshore cable installation, particularly in tidal areas, along with a background in contractor management.
- Proficient written and spoken skills in both German and English, as communication with German authorities and international partners is essential.
- A high degree of independence and initiative, complemented by strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel and work on construction sites in coastal areas during project activities, along with a valid driver's license (class B).
