TenneT is rapidly expanding to achieve its strategic goals, playing a pivotal role in the energy transition. We are seeking a dedicated Sub Project Lead - Cable Installation Nearshore (m/w/d) who will be instrumental in our projects.

Your Role

As part of an offshore grid connection initiative, you will oversee the installation of cables in tidal zones up to the 10m waterline. You will collaborate with your team to manage the project comprehensively, including permits, detailed planning, and transition to operations.

  • You will be responsible for delivering the specified technical scope in alignment with TenneT's standards and contractual commitments, along with all necessary requirements (permits, safety, legal, technical, work plans, etc.).
  • Your role includes reviewing pertinent procedures and work plans, as well as monitoring EPC contractors to ensure they meet their contractual obligations, focusing on timely and budget-compliant high-quality deliverables.
  • You will guide the collaboration of TenneT's subcontractors, including Client Representatives, environmental specialists, and other experts.
  • Your responsibilities will also include supervising on-site activities and ensuring that all documentation adheres to TenneT's standards.
  • You will report on the EPC contractors' progress and any changes to the project.

Your Qualifications

  • A university degree (FH/H) in civil or mechanical engineering or a related field, demonstrating an academic level of working and thinking.
  • Experience in offshore cable installation, particularly in tidal areas, along with a background in contractor management.
  • Proficient written and spoken communication skills in both German and English, essential for liaising with German authorities and international partners.
  • A strong sense of independence and initiative, complemented by excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to travel and work on construction sites in coastal areas during project activities, necessitating a valid driver's license (class B).
