Position Overview
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a wide array of corporate real estate initiatives across the EMEA region, including the selection and management of outsourced vendors to meet resource needs.
- Implement real estate strategies involving the acquisition and disposition of properties, construction oversight, and management of facility operations and site services.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Global Real Estate to support all aspects of site selection and due diligence for property transactions.
- Provide ongoing support for each site throughout its occupancy lifecycle, addressing operational issues, employee services, and property management duties.
- Work in conjunction with the Director of Design to uphold architectural standards and oversee the construction implementation process for various development projects.
- Manage tenant improvement projects, renovations, relocations, and facility expansions, ensuring adherence to established practices and standards.
- Implement design standards for architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems, demonstrating a thorough understanding of these practices in large-scale biotech environments.
- Negotiate and manage contracts related to vendors, services, construction, leases, and legal documents.
- Assist in managing lease administration, rent payments, landlord relations, and property management as necessary.
- Develop and oversee annual capital and operational budgets for the EMEA region.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyses, including total cost of ownership assessments and financial metrics such as ROI and NPV.
- Evaluate and recommend real estate strategies and initiatives to senior management.
- Oversee operational functions within each office, including maintenance of workspaces and management of soft services.
- Manage financial reporting for the EMEA real estate portfolio, including budget forecasting and reconciliations.
- Lead corporate operational programs that support office functions.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven leadership abilities and expertise in real estate and facilities management.
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale tenant improvement and development projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage capital and operational budgets effectively.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the EMEA region.
Education and Training:
- A degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Project Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of corporate-level experience in real estate management within a large organization.
- Familiarity with CAFM software, project management tools, and financial analysis applications.

- Strong interpersonal skills and customer relationship management abilities.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic work environments and ambiguous situations.
