Job Title: Procurement Category Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team at Envalior Deutschland GmbH. As a key member of our Global Procurement department, you will be responsible for managing the raw material flow and implementing purchasing strategies to ensure results across all KPIs.

The Challenge

The Procurement Category Manager will be responsible for:

  • Implementing and realizing the strategy for Direct Spend for the Category, within corporate requirements and guidelines
  • Defining and validating global sourcing strategy for assigned category
  • Leading complex supplier negotiations
  • Implementing risk management strategies
  • Managing price risk exposure
  • Building and maintaining key relationships with suppliers, trading companies, and producers
  • Developing and presenting analysis to management to support future trading/purchasing positions
  • Partnering with management to implement commodity opportunities
  • Tracking and communicating market developments and relevant market intelligence
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering and/or business discipline
  • Several years of experience in supply chain and/or procurement with a global company
  • Experience in chemical commodity purchasing and/or trading
  • B2B experience a strong plus
  • Energetic, self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-oriented and strong analytical skills
  • Strong systems knowledge, including reporting tools and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, as well as relationship building skills
