Position Overview:

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities within designated regions or territories. This role involves engaging with both existing and prospective clients to explore product applications across various processes. The Senior Account Manager will collaborate closely with Field Application Engineers (FAEs) and Customer Support teams to ensure comprehensive service delivery and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and nurtures relationships at all levels within assigned accounts to gain deep insights into customer operations and needs.
  • Develops detailed account profiles, including competitive landscape, sales potential, and key decision-makers. Maintains and updates strategic account plans.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and actively pursues sales opportunities within the assigned market segment across EMEA.
  • Projects sales forecasts in alignment with established processes and guidelines.
  • Coordinates efforts across teams to boost sales and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Leverages Advanced Energy resources to foster business growth with assigned accounts, ensuring swift responses to opportunities and effective solutions to customer challenges.
  • Provides initial technical support at accounts in partnership with FAEs, and coordinates advanced support from customer service, applications, engineering, and marketing teams as necessary.
  • Travels as required to fulfill responsibilities.
  • Undertakes additional tasks as assigned.

Work Environment:

This position can be based in a local office or a home office, with travel requirements estimated at 30-40% for both domestic and international engagements.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated sales acumen and strategic selling capabilities.
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical product specifications and processes.
  • Experience working with a global leader in the electronics sector.
  • Strong collaborative skills within a global team environment, with a willingness to engage across time zones.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, adept at simplifying complexity and prioritizing effectively.
  • Proficient in distilling and communicating complex information.
  • Strong follow-through on commitments within the organization.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and adeptness in managing conflict situations.

Experience Requirements:

Essential:

Several years of relevant sales experience with a proven track record in high-tech account management.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in negotiation. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German is advantageous.

Desirable:

Experience with major clients in the Electronics Industry, particularly in Industrial and Medical applications.

Familiarity with Power Supply solutions.

Educational Background:

Essential:

A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.

Desirable:

An advanced business degree or coursework in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration.
