Lead Account Executive

As a key player in the sales team, you will engage with both existing and prospective clients within a designated region to uncover and capitalize on product opportunities across various processes and applications. You will oversee all facets of sales and support initiatives at these accounts, collaborating closely with the Field Application Engineers (FAE) and Customer Support teams to enhance sales performance and customer satisfaction. Regular travel may be required to meet client needs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish and nurture relationships at all levels within assigned accounts through direct engagement to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business operations. Create and maintain detailed account profiles, which include competitive analysis, sales volume, potential opportunities, strategic direction, and key decision-makers. Regularly update account strategies and tactics. Identify, assess, and pursue sales opportunities within both existing and new accounts in the EMEA market segment. Project sales forecasts in alignment with established processes and procedures. Coordinate all relevant activities to boost sales and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction across all accounts. Leverage all Advanced Energy support resources to cultivate business relationships with assigned accounts. Collaborate with AE Business Units and Engineering to ensure prompt responses to opportunities and effective resolutions to customer challenges. Provide initial technical support at accounts in partnership with FAEs, arranging for advanced support from AE customer service, applications, engineering, and marketing as necessary. Travel as required to fulfill the responsibilities outlined above. Undertake additional duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position can be based in a local Advanced Energy office or operate from a home office. Expect approximately 30-40% travel, both domestic and international.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Demonstrated sales acumen and proficiency in both tactical and strategic sales approaches. Ability to understand and communicate technical product and process specifications effectively. Experience working with a global leader in the electronics sector. Strong collaborative skills within a global organization, with a willingness to work across different time zones. Exceptional organizational abilities, capable of navigating complexity and establishing clear priorities. Competence in distilling and reporting complex information succinctly. Strong follow-up skills on commitments within the organization. Effective problem-solving capabilities and adeptness in managing conflict situations.

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

Several years of relevant sales experience.

Proven track record in selling and/or supporting a diverse range of high-tech accounts.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in group and individual presentations.
Negotiation skills in English; proficiency in German is advantageous.

Desirable:

Experience working with major clients in the Electronics Industry, particularly in Industrial and Medical applications.

Familiarity with Power Supply solutions.

EDUCATION:

Essential:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and/or experience.

Desirable:

Advanced business degree or coursework in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration.
