About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Weight and Balance Engineer to join our team at OSB AG. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of mass properties data for our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze mass-relevant data for Tornado and Eurofighter aircraft
  • Calculate mass, volume, surface area, and center of gravity coordinates using CATIA V5 analysis functions
  • Extract part dimensions from relevant drawings in CATIA for mass moment calculations
  • Test modifications and upgrades based on assembly drawings and verify calculated part masses against target values
  • Enter mass-relevant data into various databases
  • Conduct material and part studies, and test RFAs and modifications
  • Coordinate RFA creation for Tornado with system engineers
  • Provide mass properties support for Eurofighter as needed, and process customer requests
  • Prepare and evaluate aircraft weighings, and oversee weighings on-site at customer locations (after training)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautics or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent field
  • Relevant experience in mass properties or aircraft design, statics, MDO, or loads
  • Knowledge of standards, drawing processes, and bill of materials
  • Proficiency in MS-Access, MS-Excel, MS-Office, MS-PowerPoint, and MS-Word, as well as Catia V5
  • Knowledge of VPM and Teamcenter (PDM system)
  • Fluent German and English language skills
