About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director Business Development to lead the development of our large capital project, hydrogen storage in Etzel, Germany. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for structuring, developing, and bringing this complex, cross-border project to the Final Investment Decision (FID).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a project plan to achieve the project's objectives
  • Lead a multidisciplinary project team to ensure optimal cooperation between internal and external stakeholders
  • Interpret technical specifications and economic analyses to develop a robust solution
  • Prepare business cases and project plans to ensure successful project execution
  • Direct, motivate, and adjust large multidisciplinary teams in a matrix structure
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience as the final responsible person for developing large capital projects in the energy sector or a related sector
  • Demonstrable and recent experience with project management in a business development environment
  • Experience with project development in Germany is a plus
  • Native German speaker and proficient in English, also good with Dutch is a plus
