We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director Business Development to lead our large capital project in hydrogen storage in Etzel, Germany. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing this complex project, which involves integrating hydrogen storage with our network and various import locations.

About the Project

The project involves developing a large hydrogen storage facility in Etzel, Germany, which will play a crucial role in connecting energy supply and demand over time. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary project team to ensure optimal cooperation between internal and external stakeholders and achieve the desired successes.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the project plan, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of over 20 FTEs, providing guidance and direction to ensure project success
  • Interpret technical specifications and economic analyses, translating them into a robust plan to achieve project goals
  • Prepare business cases and project plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project success
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in developing large capital projects in the energy sector or a related sector
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects, with a strong focus on business development and project management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify complex problems and formulate effective solutions
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams
  • Fluency in German and English, with good Dutch language skills a plus
