Job Title: Field Service Engineer

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) plays a crucial role in Nikon Precision Europe GmbH's customer support team. Their primary responsibility is to travel to customers' sites and provide installation, operation training, support, service, and repair of NSR equipment.

When not on-site, the FSE will provide remote support to customers or to fellow engineers and deliver service training to new hires. They are responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair, and providing on-site and on-call service as detailed in any service agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, repair, and provide on-site and on-call service
  • Provide remote support to customers or to fellow engineers
  • Deliver service training to new hires
  • Prepare and maintain accurate logs, service records, part usage documentation, and diagnostic updates
  • Submit written service reports concerning all maintenance activities
  • Install or relocate customer equipment and perform associated start-up and check-out procedures

Requirements:

  • Good education in Electronics and Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge/experience in Optics and Pneumatics an advantage
  • Good understanding of Photolithography and Semiconductor processing an advantage
  • Practical 'hands-on' ability
  • Good level of English (spoken & written). German a benefit though not required
  • Proficiency with business software (MS Office)
