Overview

At Dolby Laboratories, we are at the forefront of audio innovation, actively participating in various standardization initiatives, including MPEG, 3GPP, and Bluetooth. In this role, you will contribute to these vital efforts by developing, testing, and maintaining software that adheres to these standards. This position allows you to collaborate with leading industry experts in software engineering, testing, and project management. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum, from supporting standardization initiatives to implementing and testing these standards. To excel in this role, candidates must adeptly manage multiple tasks and maintain a comprehensive understanding of interactions, requirements, and dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

Focus on the testing and quality evaluation of software projects. Maintain software associated with Dolby's product offerings. Develop, test, and sustain software pertinent to standardization efforts. Coordinate software project activities with both internal and external development teams. Collaborate with global internal and external development and standardization teams. Assist business units in related development, testing, and integration tasks.

Required Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in C/C++ programming for digital signal processing. Familiarity with audio codecs and technologies, including xHE-AAC, MPEG-H 3D Audio, or Dolby AC-4. Extensive knowledge and experience in software quality evaluation. A degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (B.Sc./B.Eng. or M.Sc./M.Eng.). Experience working within the Scrum framework. Strong English communication skills (German language skills are a plus but not mandatory). A self-driven, proactive, and positive attitude, with a focus on solutions and opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner. Background in audio standardization efforts, such as MPEG or 3GPP. Solid understanding of Dolby's products in the audio sector. Effective presentation skills for conveying technical concepts and solutions.
