Lead Software Engineer for Medical Devices

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Discover International, a leading medical device company in Germany. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying embedded software for medical devices in compliance with IEC 62304 and other regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of software for medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with medical device hardware components.
  • Implement software development best practices, including code reviews, version control, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Ensure software solutions meet requirements for functionality, performance, and security.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure thorough testing and validation of software components.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • ~5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C# &.NET.
  • Experience with embedded systems development, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards.
