Overview

At Dolby Laboratories, we are at the forefront of audio innovation, actively participating in various standardization initiatives, including MPEG, 3GPP, and Bluetooth. In this role, you will contribute to these critical efforts by developing, testing, and maintaining software that aligns with these standards. This position allows you to collaborate with leading industry experts in software engineering, testing, and project management. Your responsibilities will encompass supporting standardization activities, implementing these standards, and ensuring their integration and testing.

Key Responsibilities

Focus on the testing and quality evaluation of software projects. Maintain software associated with Dolby's product offerings. Develop, test, and uphold software pertinent to standardization efforts. Coordinate software project initiatives with both internal and external development teams. Collaborate with global development and standardization teams. Assist business units in related development, testing, and integration tasks.

Required Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in C/C++ programming for digital signal processing. Familiarity with audio codecs and technologies, including xHE-AAC, MPEG-H 3D Audio, or Dolby AC-4. Comprehensive understanding and experience in software quality evaluation. A degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience working within the Scrum framework. Strong English communication skills (German language skills are a plus but not mandatory). Self-driven, motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner. Background in audio standardization efforts, such as MPEG or 3GPP. Solid understanding of Dolby's audio products. Effective presentation skills for technical concepts and solutions.
