About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Test Engineer to join our team at STRATO Personal GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and operating test benches for electrical, electro-chemical, and electro-mechanical components, including battery abuse tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute tests on battery systems, including high-power supplies and loads, data acquisition systems, and battery test systems.
  • Work closely with other integration engineers, particularly battery development teams, to ensure seamless integration of battery systems.
  • Design and operate test benches for testing electrical, electro-chemical, and electro-mechanical components, including battery abuse tests.
  • Coordinate and execute tests on battery cells, modules, and packs, as well as electric parts and components, according to industry standards.
  • Provide critical feedback to stakeholders on design changes, process adaptations, and software bug fixes.
  • Support production planning and end-of-line test setup.
  • Work on ad-hoc related tasks or projects provided by management.
Requirements
  • Completed studies in electrical, power, or mechatronics engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of working in electrical labs and good practice of testing.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in working with battery systems.
  • Knowledge of BMS functions, CAN systems, and general test bench software.
  • Experience in electrical and battery testing equipment, such as high-power supplies and loads, data acquisition systems, and battery test systems.
  • Experienced in the use of battery module and battery system testing equipment.
  • EFK + AuS status/experience (Level 3E according to DGUV for HV-systems or similar hands-on experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of battery systems, particularly Li-ion batteries.
  • Experience in the automotive or aerospace field is a plus.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, and fluent German or any other language would be beneficial.
