**Job Summary**

OSB AG is seeking a highly skilled Energy Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and operating test benches for electrical, electro-chemical, and electro-mechanical components, including battery abuse tests.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and execute test plans for battery cells, modules, and packs, as well as electric parts and components, in accordance with industry standards such as CS-23, DO-160, and DO-311.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of battery systems into our products.
  • Analyze test data and provide critical feedback to stakeholders on design changes, process adaptations, and software bug fixes.
  • Support production planning and end-of-line test setup, as well as work on ad-hoc related tasks or projects provided by management.
  • Work with the Battery Management System (BMS) and test bench software to create post-mortem analysis and reports.

**Requirements**

  • MSc, PhD, or equivalent degree in electrical/power/mechatronics engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of working in electrical labs and good practice of testing.
  • Solid hands-on experience in working with battery systems.
  • Knowledge of BMS functions, CAN systems, and general test bench software.
  • Experience in electrical and battery testing equipment, such as high power supplies and loads, data acquisition systems, and battery test systems.
  • Experience with battery module and battery system testing equipment (AVL, Kratzer, Basytec, or similar).
  • Ideal EFK + AuS status/experience (Level 3E according to DGUV for HV-systems or similar hands-on experience).
  • Knowledge of battery systems, particularly Li-ion batteries, and experience in the automotive or aerospace field.
  • Fluent English or German language skills.
