About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Battery Test Engineer to join our team at OSB AG. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and executing tests for battery systems, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Execution: Plan and execute tests for battery systems, including small- and large-scale prototypes, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Test Data Analysis: Analyze test data and interpret results to identify areas for improvement and optimize test procedures.
  • Test Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical, thermal, and mechanical engineers, to ensure seamless integration of battery systems.
  • Design and Operation of Test Benches: Design and operate test benches for testing electrical, electro-chemical, and electro-mechanical components, including battery abuse tests.
  • Test Coordination and Execution: Coordinate and execute tests for battery cells, modules, and packs, as well as electric parts and components, according to industry standards.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit reports on test results and provide critical feedback to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree or Ph.D. in electrical/power/mechatronics engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Strong knowledge of working in electrical labs and good practice of testing, with solid hands-on experience in working with battery systems.
  • Skills: Knowledge of BMS functions, CAN systems, and general test bench software, as well as experience with electrical and battery testing equipment.
  • Language: Fluent English or German language skills.
