Project Manager for EO Payloads

We are looking for a Project Manager for EO Payloads & Missions to join our team in Oberpfaffenhofen.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, supervise, develop, and technically lead the project team to ensure optimal team performance.
  • Hold regular project meetings and maintain interfaces with the program manager, customers, and suppliers.
  • Report regularly on the project's status to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and control the technical progress, schedule, cost, and quality of the project.
  • Be responsible for accurate and timely resource planning for the project in collaboration with the project manager, department, and team leaders, and HR Business Partner.
  • Define the project schedule and budget allocation, and implement the OHB risk management process within the project.
  • Establish work orders for operational units and support the project team with operational tasks as needed.

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, preferably with a specialization in aerospace, or a comparable qualification, such as physics or industrial engineering.
  • Several years of experience as a project manager in another company or several years of professional experience in a technically related position in space projects.
  • High-level communication and leadership skills, assertiveness, a sense of responsibility, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility, negotiation skills, flexibility, and an effective and independent way of working.
  • Ability to work in a team, flexibility, commitment, and resilience.
  • Good written and spoken English language skills.
  • Relevant knowledge of common MS Office and project management tools (MS Project & Planisware).
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Project management certification is an advantage (IPMA).
