About the Role:
We are seeking an ambitious and energetic food quality professional to join our team at HelloFresh as a Senior Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager. As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of local food safety and quality assurance requirements, ensuring compliance with local legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of local food safety and quality assurance requirements, ensuring compliance with local legislative requirements.
- Hire, train, coach, and develop our kitchen FSQA team, ensuring we have clear succession plans across different roles.
- Build and continuously steer a strong culture within the kitchen operations team that balances employee safety, employee engagement, and accountability for high performance.
- Partner with the Operations team on strategic projects, ensuring the right food safety, quality, and cultural requirements.
- Create and deploy food safety procedures and training programs on core risks across the system, ensuring compliance with HelloFresh and local legislative requirements.
- Drive food safety culture, developing engagement and understanding of the topic.
- Support in the rollout of consistent intake food safety and quality checks.
- Understand and partner with relevant stakeholders on systems development to further elevate our quality management and traceability systems.
- Monitor all quality data for trends, themes, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing solutions within the DC and customer delivery segment of the supply chain.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to deliver on key performance metrics.
- Evaluate key risks and establish proactive methodologies for mitigation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within Food Manufacturing/Assembly/Chemical/Consumer Products (minimum 3+ years' experience).
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, German Food Safety Regulations, and GFSI schemes.
- Experience in a start-up environment, comfortable with changing priorities, showing entrepreneurial mindset.
- Internal and External Audit experience.
- Intermediate/Advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Energy, enthusiasm, commitment, and a can-do flexible attitude.
- Embraces change, challenge, and working in an autonomous way.
- Proficiency in business English and German is mandatory.
