Energy Policy Communications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Expert to join our team at Wintershall Dea. As a Press Spokesperson for Energy Policy, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote our company's energy policy initiatives in Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute communication plans to engage with supra-regional German media sources and position our company's activities in Germany.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media representatives, politicians, and industry experts.
- Prepare and disseminate press releases, position papers, and other communication materials to relevant target groups.
- Provide crisis communication support and serve as a spokesperson for the company in the event of a crisis.
- Monitor and analyze national media sources to stay up-to-date on energy policy developments and report to the Management Team on important findings.
- Accompany Senior Management Team members and specialist colleagues to relevant events and discussions with journalists on energy policy topics.
- Provide advice on communication-related issues within the company.
- University degree in economics, communications, or a related field, with relevant additional training.
- Several years of experience in corporate communications, with a strong track record of developing and implementing effective communication strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical, political, and regulatory issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong knowledge of energy policy issues and a passion for promoting dialogue with various stakeholders at the national level.
- Excellent communication, social, and team skills, with the ability to work in a structured and forward-looking manner as a team player.
- Very good command of English and a strong interest in social and energy policy issues.
- Commitment to the company's HSE policy and principles, with a responsible approach to behavior and compliance with the company's HSE and quality requirements.
