About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Manager to join our team at Global Commissioning Limited. As a Commissioning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the safe, timely, and efficient design, installation, and commissioning of critical systems and IT infrastructure within the built environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Author and review the Owner's Project Requirements, Basis of Design, and commissioning documents.
  • Draft the Commissioning Plan and Programme, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Lead the Commissioning Agent Kick-Off Meeting, facilitating collaboration and understanding among stakeholders.
  • Compile a comprehensive project directory, ensuring all relevant information is documented and easily accessible.
Construction Phase
  • Lead Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 Commissioning Workshops, fostering teamwork and efficient execution of commissioning tasks.
  • Attend Factory and Field Witness Tests, overseeing the process, and producing related reports to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Develop Commissioning Checklists for electrical, mechanical, monitoring, and safety systems, guaranteeing thorough and systematic assessments.
  • Draft Level 4 Test Scripts and Site Observation Reports, documenting observations accurately and providing clear action plans.
  • Conduct weekly commissioning and client meetings, maintaining effective communication channels throughout construction.
  • Manage and update the Commissioning Tracker, ensuring all commissioning activities are tracked and progress is well-monitored.
Acceptance Phase
  • Oversee Level 4 Commissioning across various systems, coordinating with project teams to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Collate and present Level 4 Commissioning data and prepare comprehensive reports for project stakeholders.
  • Draft Level 5 Test Scripts and lead the Pre-Integrated Systems Testing Meeting, ensuring a smooth transition to the final commissioning phase.
  • Coordinate Level 5 Commissioning and produce the preliminary report, highlighting successes, and identifying areas for improvement.
Handover Phase
  • Coordinate system training data collection, ensuring end-users receive the necessary training for efficient system operation.
  • Review Operations & Maintenance procedures, validating their completeness and accuracy.
  • Lead the 'Lessons Learnt Workshop,' facilitating a constructive discussion to identify valuable insights for future projects.
  • Deliver the Final Commissioning Report, summarising the commissioning process and outcomes to support the successful handover of the project.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Completion of trade apprenticeship or qualifications – Essential.
  • CSCS / Safe Pass / ECS / SMSTS holder – Essential.
  • Electrical based HNC or equivalent - Essential.
  • CxA Experience - Essential.
  • Data Centre Commissioning experience - Essential.
  • BEng (Hons) in an engineering discipline or equivalent – Desirable.
