Job Overview
Colt Technology Services is seeking a skilled Commissioning Specialist to oversee the thorough testing, verification, and validation process of data centre infrastructure before it becomes operational.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that data centre designs and concepts are tested and validated to prove their effectiveness.
  • Work with internal and external partners to test and validate constructed infrastructure, driving the delivery of commissioning activities.
  • Provide regular updates to customers on commissioning progress, ensuring they have confidence in Colt's commissioning process.
  • Collaborate with the project team to keep internal stakeholders informed of commissioning progress.
  • Develop strong working relationships with external commissioning agent companies.
  • Travel to Colt's European hubs in London, Frankfurt, and Paris for short visits.

Requirements
  • Ability to give confidence in project commissioning activities internally and with customers.
  • Good understanding of data centre engineering principles and practical knowledge of how systems operate once installed.
  • Programme and budget management skills.
  • Mix of engineering and delivery capability.
  • Ability to manage and take measured decisions regarding project risk.
  • Knowledge of the Ashrae level 1-6 data centre commissioning process.
  • Ability to apply different management styles as needed.

Education
