Job Description

This position is responsible for managing sales activities of Hanwha Advanced Materials' composite materials products worldwide. The Sales Specialist will sell the company's products and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Management: Responsible for account management, technical support functions, and marketing.
  • Relationship Building: Develop customer relationships throughout the value chain.
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiate contracts with our customer base that are supported by the leadership team, including LTA's, pricing, rebates, new business, etc.
  • Customer Needs Analysis: Identify our customer CTQs, and work with the Hanwha Branch team to meet or exceed those needs.
  • Debt Resolution: Successfully negotiate a resolution to outstanding debits with our customers.
  • Strategic Relationships: Develop high-level relationships within our customer's organization that influence the key decision-makers.
  • Customer Understanding: Understand our customer organizations' structure and develop the best strategy to serve them.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Primary interface with the sales team throughout HQ.
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Budget Development: Develop annual budget for revenue and new awarded business.
  • Sales Incentive Plans: Develop and monitor sales incentive plans to help meet our growth commitments.
  • Operational Review: Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
  • Event Planning: The position is involved with the planning of sales exhibits. Attends trade shows and participates in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs.
Forecasting and Planning:
  • Sales Revenue Growth: Develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
  • Sales Forecasting: Participate in sales forecasting and planning in an effective manner by researching, developing, and maintaining long and short-range sales plans, producing regular reports and final plans for COO approval, maintaining an up-to-date awareness of strategic plans and procedures to coordinate market plans, monitoring, analyzing, and communicating sales data to contribute to product/service planning.
  • Sales Objectives: Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 3+ years of composite materials and products experience in the automotive industry, working with commercial customers and various materials.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working for automotive 1st-tier suppliers and sales through a consultative approach.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Problem-Solving and Negotiation: Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Client Relationships: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
