Senior Cost and Commercial Lead

Mace Consultancy Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Sector is seeking a Senior Cost and Commercial Manager to provide full cycle cost management services for ongoing commissions throughout Germany. As a key member of our team, you will leverage the latest innovation, regional expertise, and global best practice to continuously improve and advance infrastructure delivery, advising on critical public services and works of cultural importance.
The Project:
Our team works on some of the most notable and innovative life science projects, including manufacturing facilities for market leaders. We need a Senior Cost & Commercial Manager with Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences sector experience who can provide cost planning, budgeting, and estimating, as well as manage people and risk management.
You'll Need:
- Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role
- Previous experience working with Pharmaceutical and Life Science clients
- JCT form of contract experience essential with some knowledge of NEC
- Cost planning, budgeting, and estimating experience
- Previous experience of managing people and risk management
- Knowledge of contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction
- Sound knowledge and ability to undertake and advise on Contract Administration
- Knowledge of value engineering and life cycle costing
- Strong understanding of industry best practice
- Understanding of hot topic issues such as Sustainability, Social Value, Carbon Reduction impacting Public Sector
- Capex V Opex Cost Analysis/advice
- A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent
You'll Also Have:
- Developed commercial and financial acumen
- Experience in business development
- Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks relating to construction
- Experience leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams
- Developing experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders
