Technical Sales Specialist

Job Summary

This position will be based in Germany, with the possibility of remote work, covering South Germany and Poland. The successful candidate will report to the Sales Director Distribution Europe and be expected to travel 70% of the time.

The ideal candidate is a technically self-sufficient sales individual with a technical education in electronics. They should have commercial acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a good grounding in semiconductor products within the electronic components distribution sector or an OEM. The role requires a strategic and lateral thinker who is highly focused on achieving agreed targets, tactical, motivated, and highly organized.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Working with distributors to increase pipeline and design win count, and revenue.
  • Providing and maintaining high levels of support to all distribution branch offices.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies for the penetration of new accounts, sustaining existing business, and driving new programs in existing accounts.
  • Communicating and working effectively with customers and distributors.
  • Managing monthly customer forecast and preparing weekly/monthly reports.
  • Participating and presenting high-level business reviews for the Management Team.
  • Interacting and guiding the FAE team to successfully achieve design-wins.

Requirements

  • Electronic/semiconductor industry professional with a proven track record in business development and/or technical sales.
  • Experience in a similar sales role in the electronics industry would be advantageous.
  • Education: Bachelor in Electronics Engineering or similar engineering discipline.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Autonomous and able to work as part of a team.
  • Full driving license.
  • Language: Fluent written and spoken English and German. Fluency in Polish will be a plus.
