RWE AG is a leading technology company in the renewable energy sector, seeking a highly skilled professional to join its Structured Finance team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Manager Structured Finance Leader to develop innovative project finance solutions for our Renewables segment. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for structuring, negotiating, and executing non-recourse project finance solutions across RWE's renewables technologies and markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume full responsibility for the preparation, structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex financing solutions for Renewables projects, aligning with and coordinating all internal and external project parties on finance-related topics.
  • Support RWE's M&A activities by assuming responsibility for financial due diligence on finance-related topics, identifying risks and opportunities, and developing plans to mitigate and manage them.
  • Prepare, apply for, and execute export credit insurances and investment guarantees, such as investment guarantees of the Federal Republic of Germany.
  • Serve as the first point of contact to external debt advisors, responsible for scoping and negotiating debt advisory mandates.
  • Consult the RWE Renewables Group on all finance-related queries, including the assessment of financial risks, leasing, and other financing structures.
  • Develop, draft, and review group internal finance directives and manage approval requests.

Requirements

  • University degree in finance, banking, or economics.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in non-recourse project finance, having secured significant amounts of project debt and participated in a number of transactions.
  • Strong understanding of corporate and structured finance solutions, such as non-recourse project financing, and other cash flow-based financing instruments.
  • Strong understanding of adjacent disciplines, such as Legal, Valuation, Tax, and Accounting, with the ability to coordinate with such disciplines on finance-related issues.
  • Strong analytical and communicational skills across departments and hierarchies, with strong negotiation skills and the ability to present complex structures in a coherent manner.
  • Strong intercultural competences, high degree of commitment, and resilience, with a willingness to act in an independent and entrepreneurial manner.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 25%).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the renewables energy market.
  • Additional language skills.
