Molecular Botany Researcher

As a researcher in the Molecular Botany Lab at RPTU, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on understanding the local and dynamic responses of cells to oxidative stress. Our research aims to investigate how plants survive in adverse environmental conditions.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and analyze experiments to investigate the biochemistry, physiology, and stress responses of plants.
- Utilize standard methods of molecular biology, confocal microscopy, and genetically encoded biosensors to advance our understanding of plant responses.
- Develop and establish new methods to improve our research capabilities.
- Continuously enhance your skills in scientific research and problem-solving.
- Participate in national and international research projects within the CRC TR175 The Green Hub.
- Present and discuss research at conferences and publish in international peer-reviewed journals.
Your Requirements:
- A scientific university degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Agricultural Sciences, or a comparable field.
- A strong motivation to develop and implement a research project with a focus on molecular biology.
- A high interest in redox biology, microscopy, and working with plant model organisms.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in an international environment.
- Advanced English language skills, with German language skills being an advantage but not a requirement.
