Molecular Botany Researcher

At RPTU, we are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our Molecular Botany Lab. The successful candidate will contribute to our research focus on redox biology, investigating how plants survive in dynamic and adverse environmental conditions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and analyze experiments to investigate the biochemistry, physiology, and stress responses of plants.
• Apply standard methods of molecular biology, confocal microscopy, and work with genetically encoded biosensors.
• Develop and establish new methods to advance our research.
• Participate in national and international research projects within the CRC TR175 The Green Hub.
• Present and discuss research at conferences and publish in international peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field.
• Motivation to develop and implement a research project with a focus on molecular biology.
• Strong interest in redox biology, microscopy, and plant model organisms.
• High personal motivation and ability to work in an international team.
• Advanced English language skills; German language skills are an advantage.
