Molecular Botany Researcher

At RPTU, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our Molecular Botany Lab. Our team focuses on understanding the local and dynamic responses of cells to oxidative stress, with a particular emphasis on redox biology.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and analyze experiments investigating the biochemistry, physiology, and stress responses of plants.
- Utilize standard methods of molecular biology, confocal microscopy, and genetically encoded biosensors to advance our research.
- Develop and establish new methods to enhance our understanding of plant responses to adverse environmental conditions.
- Participate in national and international research projects within the CRC TR175 The Green Hub framework.
- Present and discuss research findings at conferences and publish in international peer-reviewed journals.
Your Requirements:
- Hold a scientific university degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Agricultural Sciences, or a comparable field.
- Demonstrate a strong motivation to develop and successfully implement a research project focused on molecular biology.
- Exhibit a high interest in redox biology, microscopy, and working with plant model organisms.
- Display high personal motivation and ability to work effectively in an international team.
- Possess advanced English language skills, with German language skills being an advantage but not a prerequisite.
