Lead VFX Artist

Crytek is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead VFX Artist to join the Hunt: Showdown team. As a key member of the art team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day management of the VFX team, working closely with the Art Director to set goals and objectives, and ensuring effective communication and coordination between the VFX team and other disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the VFX team and ensure the delivery of high-quality visual effects
  • Collaborate with the Art Director to develop and implement the VFX vision and style
  • Manage and mentor VFX artists, providing guidance and support to ensure their success
  • Develop and maintain industry-leading working practices and standards for the VFX team
  • Ensure the VFX team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to deliver exceptional results
  • Work closely with the Research and Development department to improve workflows and processes
  • Write documentation and maintain records of VFX team activities
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in game development, with a focus on visual effects
  • Strong knowledge of 3ds Max, Maya, or Blender, as well as Photoshop and Substance Designer
  • Experience with real-time game engines and particle systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to deliver high-quality results and meet deadlines
