About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team at SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment | Certified B Corporation™. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving business strategy and making a significant impact in the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of large retail datasets to uncover actionable insights and drive business decisions.
  • Develop predictive models to forecast sales, customer behavior, and inventory needs, utilizing advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.

Time Series Analysis

  • Implement and refine time series models to predict future trends in retail metrics, leveraging tools such as ARIMA, SARIMA, and Prophet.
  • Utilize Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and statsmodels to ensure accurate forecasting and data manipulation.

Machine Learning & AI

  • Design and deploy machine learning models to optimize pricing, promotions, and product placement, leveraging techniques such as clustering, decision trees, and neural networks.
  • Explore and apply advanced algorithms for demand forecasting and customer segmentation, utilizing tools such as scikit-learn and TensorFlow.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, finance, and operations teams to integrate data-driven solutions and drive business outcomes.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to inform strategic decisions and drive business growth.

Tool Development & Automation

  • Create automated pipelines for data processing and model deployment, utilizing tools such as Jupyter, Docker, and Airflow.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable code to ensure efficient data analysis and model deployment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • Proficient in Python, with a strong focus on libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and statsmodels.
  • Extensive experience in time series analysis, including ARIMA, SARIMA, and Prophet models.

Analytical Mindset

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business problems into data science solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work with complex datasets and drive business outcomes.

Communication Skills

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of presenting findings and influencing business strategy.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications or coursework in machine learning and data analysis.

  • Salary range €80,000 - €100,000
  • 30 Annual leave days
