Data Protection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Privacy Manager to join our team at Sidekick Health Germany GmbH. As a Data Privacy Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations across the organization, providing expert guidance and oversight to our European teams.
Your primary responsibilities will include handling data protection requests, monitoring compliance, and documenting essential information within our Data Protection Management System. You will also address data protection incidents, manage inquiries from data subjects, and assist in communicating with supervisory authorities.
In addition, you will train and advise data protection coordinators, optimize data protection processes, and provide legal advice on contracts related to data protection laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage data protection systems for the European market
- Handle internal data protection requests
- Communicate with external providers and business partners
- Review service provider requirements
- Develop and maintain guidelines, overviews, and necessary data protection documentation
- Analyze current data protection standards and continuously monitor compliance with data protection regulations
- Provide legal support and evaluation for various data protection projects
- Review and draft data protection contracts (e.g., data processing agreements and joint controller agreements)
- Serve as a contact person for management, executives, employees, and patients on data protection issues
- Raise employee awareness about data protection and ensure commitment to data confidentiality
- Conduct data protection training for employees
- A degree in economics, law, computer science, security management, or a comparable field
- In-depth knowledge of relevant data protection regulations
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a data protection officer or consultant
- Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with software programs
- Willingness to take on responsibility and find practical solutions
- Highly structured and conscientious work style
- Familiarity with the relevant regulations of the GDPR and BDSG; knowledge of DiGA-specific regulations is a plus but not required
- Fluent in German and English
