Fotografiska Berlin GmbH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cafe Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our Cafe + Bar & Bakery team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities- Provide kind, knowledgeable, and humble hospitality to our members and guests, exceeding and maintaining service expectations.
- Represent Fotografiska Berlin GmbH with warmth and grace in every interaction, embodying the company's values and standards.
- Assist with all aspects of the Bakery and Cafe, Counter, Bar, and Floor service operations, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain thorough working knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, including coffee, tea, non-alcoholic drinks, wines, beers, spirits, and cocktails.
- Supply our members and guests with in-depth knowledge of menu items, ensuring quality and consistency in every interaction.
- Work collaboratively with the Cafe & Bar Manager and other team members to achieve operational excellence and maintain a positive work environment.
- Support in other areas as required to maintain the integrity of the Fotografiska F&B operations, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance product knowledge, skills, and professionalism.
- Utilize POS systems for ordering and billing purposes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage cash handling and communication with management with the utmost professionalism.
- Execute the order of service in a timely and accurate manner, creating memorable experiences for our members and guests.
- Set up and breakdown of cafe requirements on a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule, ensuring seamless operations.
- Flourish in a fast-paced environment, working against deadlines while maintaining self-motivation, proactivity, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Take responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, clearly communicating with members, guests, and F&B Leadership.
- Multitask a workflow of warm greetings, food service, cocktail building, wine service, and operational discretion, providing a seamless experience for our members and guests.
- Attend to detail across all aspects of bar maintenance, including opening, closing, daily, weekly, and monthly checklist completion, and bar equipment upkeep.
- Communicate orders clearly, ensuring timely delivery of drinks and alerting the Bar Management when running low on items.
- Be available to work Monday through Sunday, with AM and PM shifts, and potentially participate in events operations as needed.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and compliance with all Health & Safety, company Employment policies/service procedures/standards as they relate to the FOH team.
