Join Our Team as a Tax Manager Investments

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager Investments to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our Group Taxation team, you will be responsible for evaluating tax purposes of participations in private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluation of tax implications of investments in private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure funds
  • Preparation of tax returns in relation to investments
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation with asset managers and other specialist departments within the Group
  • Providing support for tax audits
  • Managing and coordinating external consultants
  • Assisting with the optimization of domestic and foreign withholding tax charges
  • Providing tax advice on internal restructuring activities within the Group and on matters of Group financing
Requirements:
  • Several years of tax experience with a consulting firm, international law firm, or group tax department
  • Completed degree in economics/law or qualification in financial management
  • Sound knowledge of national and international tax law
  • Knowledge of investment tax law, reorganization tax law, and tax rules governing controlled foreign corporations
  • Keen to familiarize yourself with new legislation, especially in relation to investments
  • Proficient user skills in German and English
  • Sense of responsibility, individual initiative, and flair for solution-driven thinking
