International Tax Manager

Are you a seasoned tax professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager International Tax to join our team at Hannover Re.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support for Group entities and permanent establishments abroad
  • Minimise tax risks and clarify tax matters affecting internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and compile relevant calculations and analyses, e.g. CFC rules, BsGaV (Ordinance on the allocation of profits of permanent establishments)
  • Determine and verify tax items including deferred taxes under IFRS in the context of the annual and consolidated financial statement
  • Contribute to global compliance topics and projects, e.g. transfer prices, BEPS Pillar 2, CbCR
  • Identify future issues of tax relevance and develop solution scenarios
  • Cooperate with tax authorities, external consultants and internal departments (Accounting, Finance and Legal)

Requirements:

  • Several years of professional tax experience, ideally with an international audit and tax consulting firm or an international corporate group
  • Completed degree in economics/law or qualification in financial management ("Diplom-Finanzwirt:in"), successfully completed examination for tax consultants is an asset
  • Sound knowledge of national and international tax law
  • (Re)insurance know-how is a plus, but not required
  • Strong powers of communication coupled with proficient user skills in German and English
  • Highly IT-minded
