Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Sales & Technical Manager specializing in food ingredients. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation in Food Technology or related fields, complemented by substantial sales experience (5-7 years) within Germany and German-speaking regions.

The role encompasses the complete sales cycle, from initial prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing of deals, with a hybrid work model allowing for office and home office flexibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effective Communication: Utilize exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, accurately assess their needs, and articulate the technical features of our products.
  • Market Insight: Maintain current knowledge of the German food industry landscape, including market trends, competitive analysis, and potential customer bases to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with clients, providing technical support and building trust to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Problem Solving: Employ a proactive approach to address technical challenges, troubleshoot product issues, and suggest enhancements.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility in responding to evolving market conditions, customer preferences, and emerging technologies.
  • Sales Proficiency: Exhibit strong skills in sales methodologies, including prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the existing sales team and other departments, such as technical support and customer service.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in German is essential, with proficiency in English beneficial for international business communications.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Food Technology or a related discipline is required to effectively promote our products and their applications.
  • In-depth understanding of raw materials utilized in the food sector, with knowledge of the food supply chain and its specific demands.
  • A proven track record in B2B sales of food industry raw materials, particularly in segments utilizing hydrocolloids, is highly advantageous.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the chemistry, properties, and applications of food preparation ingredients, with the ability to discuss product specifications and quality standards with clients.
