Sales Director

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Director to lead our commercial strategy in the German market.
As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and improve profitability.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing a commercial strategy to gain revenue and improve profitability
- Building business plans, defining must-win SKU-customer combinations, and translating those into customer strategy and implementation
- Defining and optimizing the preferred go-to-market model
- Selecting and agreeing contracts with distributors
- Recognizing and developing new business opportunities to maximize short and long-term profit potential
- Category development plans and initiatives with key accounts
- Developing new segments of the product portfolio
- Interfacing with European sales and marketing teams to identify needs, propose potential products, and establish local plans to achieve targets in a timely manner
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 6 years' experience in a commercial/account manager role in a sales environment, preferably in a highly branded company within a relevant CPG environment.
You will also need to have leadership experience of remote sales people, regional experience of Germany, sales development in a distributor model, and joint business planning with direct accounts.
Fluency in English and German (spoken and written) is also essential.
