Strategic Sales Leader

We are seeking a seasoned sales professional to join our team as a Strategic Sales Leader in the DACH region. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in managing client relationships, developing business, and growing revenue streams.
About the RoleIn this pivotal sales position, you will be responsible for overseeing commercial partnerships with key banking clients and financial entities within the DACH area. Your primary focus will be on promoting Fitch Solutions' range of products and services, including Fitch Credit Ratings, Credit Research, Fundamental Financial Data & Analytics, Country Risk, Industry Research & Geopolitical Risk from BMI, and ESG Products from Sustainable Fitch.
Main Responsibilities- Manage your own book of business: Develop and grow existing client accounts by identifying opportunities to increase spend with cross-sells/upsells, deepen relationships, and deliver exceptional value to clients.
- Achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets by effectively managing your sales pipeline, developing strategic sales plans, and implementing tactical initiatives.
- Set up and develop long-lasting client relationships to become a strategic partner to your clients by understanding their workflows and position in the market.
- Become a subject matter expert both in the industries you cover and the solutions Fitch has to offer to our clients.
- Grow the Fitch Solutions business by persuading and negotiating effectively across the territories.
- Liaise and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to support your client's needs.
- Self-starter with ability to build his/her own pipeline from day one.
- Highly independent, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Resilient and adaptable with a positive attitude and a keen desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to negotiate as well as articulate product value proposition and competitive advantage.
- Proven track record in managing client relationships, developing business, and growing revenue streams, achieving goals consistently year after year.
- Sales experience within the broader financial market (fixed income, risk management), leading to an approachable network in the DACH region.
- Excellent communication skills, fluency in both written and verbal forms of German and English are essential.
The estimated annual salary for this role is around €80,000 - €120,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
