Job Description

CSL is seeking an experienced EHS Director to lead our Environmental Health and Safety team in Marburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our EHS strategy, promoting a culture of safety and sustainability, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS strategy that aligns with our global and local business objectives.
  • Lead and develop the EHS team, ensuring they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to support our business goals and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and develop talent to meet current and future business needs.
  • Monitor and improve compliance with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with EHS regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and cooperation.
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure compliance with our Global EHS Management System, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our overall business strategy, culture, and corporate governance policy as a member of the Marburger Site Leadership Team.
  • Oversee the management of EHS risks through our risk management processes and registers.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of emergency preparedness procedures.
  • Manage the EHS budget and forecast.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or environmental science.
  • At least 10 years of experience in EHS, including regulatory inspections.
  • At least 5 years of experience in team leadership.
  • Experience as an EHS leader for a site or facility in a GMP or biologics manufacturing environment is required.
  • Experience in a matrix organization is preferred.
  • Experience in process safety management and large-scale pharmaceutical or chemical product manufacturing is preferred.
