EHS Director

CSL Behring is seeking an experienced EHS Director to lead our Environmental Health and Safety team in Marburg. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our EHS strategy, promoting a culture of safety, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS strategy that aligns with our global and site business objectives.
- Lead and develop our EHS team, ensuring they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to support our business goals.
- Identify and mitigate EHS risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Collaborate with our EHS regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and effective communication.
- Develop and implement plans to ensure site compliance with our global EHS management system, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our overall business strategy, culture, and corporate governance policy.
- Monitor and mitigate key EHS risks through our site and business unit risk management processes and registers.
- Oversee the effectiveness of our emergency preparedness procedures.
- Manage the EHS budget and forecast.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or environmental health and safety.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in EHS, including regulatory inspections.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in team leadership.
- Experience as an EHS leader for a site or facility in a GMP or biologics manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience in a matrix organization is preferred.
- Experience in process safety management and large-scale pharmaceutical or chemical product manufacturing is preferred.
