The Role: DevOps Engineer - Cloud Native Solutions
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our cross-functional team focused on developing and deploying new digital service offerings. You will be instrumental in driving business transformation by leveraging cutting-edge technological platforms, such as cloud-native architectures and microservice designs.
Your Responsibilities:
- Problem Solving & Innovation: Collaborate with architects and the product team to autonomously develop technical solutions within our Service Management framework.
- DevOps Expertise: Serve as a technical expert for the development team, providing guidance on programming, application architecture, development processes, test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices to optimize operations.
- Quality Assurance & Optimization: Continuously monitor and evaluate external service providers based on key performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct regular reviews. Analyze root causes of issues and implement actions to enhance the operation and development of IT applications through process improvements and best practices.
- IT Architecture & Standards: Support the enforcement of application and architecture standards across development, configuration, design, and interfaces.
- Software Development: Independently conceive and continuously develop IT applications within the Service Management domain, focusing on a cloud-native microservice-oriented system landscape.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in agile software development, with experience in the telecommunications industry being highly desirable.
- Proven experience working with API Gateways (e.g., Kong, MuleSoft, WSO2) in Java, Kubernetes, Python, and Ansible is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with applications in Service Management (utilizing tools like WSO2, Kong, etc.) and AWS/Azure Cloud experience with out-of-the-box software products is beneficial.
- Comprehensive knowledge of software development, DevOps principles, CI/CD methodologies, software architecture, system administration, and application operations.
- Extensive practical programming skills in Java, Python, experience with Container/Kubernetes, Helm, REST, and MySQL.
- Excellent language skills in German and English.
