Business Development Strategist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Strategist to join our team at tesa. As a key member of our R&D and business development team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and developing new business opportunities for tesa based on high-performance technical developments for new customer segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research on our strategic focus fields to identify new business opportunities
  • Support literature and patent research for new, emerging technologies to stay ahead of the competition
  • Develop and create PowerPoint presentations for internal and external stakeholders to effectively communicate our value proposition
  • Prepare and implement customer analyses and market trend reports to inform our business development strategy
  • Collaborate with our technology development team to evaluate the economic viability of novel technologies and their applications
  • Support the creation of marketing communication materials for customer pitches to showcase our innovative solutions

Requirements

  • You are currently pursuing a master's degree in Business Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Chemistry, Innovation Management, or Business Administration with a strong affinity for technology
  • You have a passion for working in a highly technology-related and innovative-driven environment
  • You are able to set emerging technologies in a commercial and entrepreneurial context and dive into technology fields
  • You are a strong communicator and enjoy working in a team
  • You have a high level of self-motivation and an independent way of working
  • You are confident in using the MS Office package (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • You have a very good command of English and ideally German language skills
  • Experiences in patent and technology research, product development, SWOT analysis, secondary market research, and technology potential analysis are a plus
  • You are located close to Hamburg, as around 80% of the working time is on-site at tesa Headquarters in Norderstedt
