Quality Assurance Specialist (based in Düsseldorf)

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at JSP International GmbH. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our manufacturing software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Comprehensive Test Plans: Create detailed test plans and test cases to validate the functionality and performance of our manufacturing software applications.
  • Execute Manual and Automated Testing: Conduct thorough testing of software components to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering Team: Work closely with our software engineering team to understand technical specifications, identify potential areas of improvement, and provide feedback for enhancing software reliability and usability.
  • Conduct Regression Testing: Perform rigorous regression testing to validate software updates and enhancements, minimizing the risk of introducing defects or regressions into production environments.
  • Investigate and Analyze Reported Issues: Utilize debugging tools and techniques to isolate root causes and effectively communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Engage in Cross-Functional Discussions: Participate in cross-functional discussions and reviews to offer insights on software quality, identify potential risks, and contribute to decisions about software releases and updates.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software quality assurance, continuously enhancing personal knowledge and skills to drive improvements in software testing methodologies and processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques, with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing.
  • Experience: Demonstrated ability to create comprehensive test plans and execute test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft technology stack, including.NET framework, C#, and ASP.NET, for understanding software architecture and behavior.
  • Tools and Technologies: Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps for managing test cases, tracking defects, and supporting continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Database Knowledge: Knowledge of SQL for database testing and querying, and experience in using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify, isolate, and communicate software defects effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a collaborative approach to working with software engineering team, customers success team, and other stakeholders.
