Job Description

Job Title: International Affairs Advisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented International Affairs Advisor to join our team at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to international students, coordinating semester abroad programs, and collaborating with various departments to ensure a seamless student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise students on study abroad programs, including information events, workshops, and one-on-one meetings
  • Collaborate with the International Affairs Team at all campus locations and coordinate with teaching, administrative, and service units
  • Provide support for international students, including residence permits, registration, and accommodation
  • Provide information and advice to new students and support them during the application process
  • Oversee and coordinate new student orientation under the supervision of the International Affairs Senior
  • Coordinate and administer summer schools, language courses, and workshops for international student groups
  • Issue and follow up on administrative documents and verify and process applications
  • Support International Affairs operations and provide exceptional customer service

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent written and spoken language skills in German and English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of DAAD funding programs and residence law is an asset
  • Completed vocational training or university degree or relevant practical experience in higher education
