International Affairs Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented International Affairs Specialist to join our team at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences. As a key member of our International Affairs Team, you will play a vital role in supporting international students and staff, ensuring a seamless experience for all.
Key Responsibilities- Advise international students on study abroad programs, providing information and guidance through various channels, including workshops, one-on-one meetings, and online resources.
- Collaborate with the International Affairs Team across all campus locations, coordinating with teaching, administrative, and service units to ensure effective communication and support.
- Provide support for international students, including assistance with residence permits, registration, accommodation, and other related matters.
- Offer information and advice to new students, supporting them throughout the application process and ensuring a smooth transition to our university.
- Oversee and coordinate new student orientation, working closely with the International Affairs Senior to ensure a successful and engaging experience.
- Coordinate and administer summer schools, language courses, and workshops for international student groups, ensuring a high-quality experience for all participants.
- Issue and follow up on administrative documents, verifying and processing applications in a timely and efficient manner.
- Support International Affairs operations, providing administrative assistance as needed.
- Support students and answer questions on various service topics, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong conflict resolution skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and find effective solutions.
- Excellent written and spoken language skills in German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, with a deep understanding of diverse perspectives and needs.
- Knowledge of DAAD funding programs, such as Erasmus+ and Promos, is an asset.
- Demonstrated skills in problem-solving and taking proactive action in addressing student problems.
- Demonstrated organizational experience in running events, such as welcome days or new student orientation.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality support and service.
- Knowledge of residence law, including applying for residence permits, is an asset.
- Completed vocational training or university degree, or relevant practical experience in higher education, particularly in the area of International Affairs.
- Experience with university management systems, such as CampusNet, is desirable.
- Experience abroad is advantageous.
