Senior Data Architect

Our cloud environment empowers us to make leaps forward by enabling powerful use cases from real-time analytics to low-code automations and custom software solutions.

Up to 95% of your work can be done remotely; 5% on-site in Düsseldorf is required.

Your Tasks:

  • You design, develop, and maintain complex data architectures, including data lakes, SQL databases, and big data infrastructures.
  • You translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • You lead the integration and management of streaming analytics platforms, such as Kafka and Apache Flink.
  • You promote the use and optimisation of Cosmos DB and related database systems.
  • You use business intelligence tools to transform data into actionable business insights.
  • You drive the company's data strategy within the Azure cloud environment.
  • You implement and promote best practices in data architecture and technology.
  • You work in an agile environment with cross-functional teams to fulfil data-related requirements.
  • You collaborate on a variety of digital technology projects.

Your Profile:

  • Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience and Know-how: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data architecture or a similar role. Demonstrated success in designing and rolling out large-scale data solutions. Prior experience with Azure Cloud is essential.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and German.
  • Capabilities: Mastery in SQL and Python, with a solid grasp of Cosmos DB and related database systems. Expertise in data modeling and architecture. Proven ability to translate business needs into technical action plans. Comprehensive understanding of big data ecosystems, including data lakes and streaming analytics. Practical experience with Kafka, Apache Flink, and other data streaming platforms. In-depth familiarity with Azure Cloud and its suite of data services. Strong proponent of agile methodologies and practices. Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in the data domain.
  • Personality: Strong communicator, able to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Working: Proactive and self-driven, always looking for ways to improve and innovate. Adaptable and open to change, with a passion for staying updated with the latest in the data world.
