We make METRO digital, and we are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Enterprise Data Architect.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data architecture principles that align with our company's goals.
  • Co-own and lead the data strategy, ensuring it is aligned with our business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement an enterprise data model that meets our business needs.
  • Consult with solution architects to ensure data governance principles are applied throughout the organization.
  • Lead the data governance program, ensuring data quality, security, and privacy are maintained.

Qualifications

Required key competencies and qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate data value to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work conceptually and communicate the impact of data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in defining and fostering data architecture principles.
  • Ability to contribute to the creation, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise data model.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the data field, with a strong background in data engineering and architecture.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role or large data transformation engagements.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and challenges, with experience in the wholesale/retail domain a plus.
  • Proficient in modern software delivery and lifecycle management, with knowledge of data processing technologies.
  • Good knowledge of public clouds (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
  • Consulting mindset, with the ability to share information and support projects.
  • Strong methodology skills when engaging with business units and data teams.
  • Background in bringing AI/ML into business processes and data management.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and other data privacy regulations.
