About the Role:

Rocket Internet SE is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Intern to join our Valuation team in Berlin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing business plans, growth possibilities, and financials of new ventures, as well as supporting the valuation of our portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of business plans, financial models, and market research to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
  • Support the valuation of our portfolio companies by analyzing financial statements, market trends, and industry benchmarks.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models, including discounted cash flow, option price evaluation, and waterfall models.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends and opportunities in private and public markets.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, including accounting and reporting activities.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Business-related university program, preferably with a focus on Finance.
  • First-hand experience in Consulting, Corporate Finance, or Transaction Advisory Services, or in a High-growth Start-up.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, as well as a hands-on mentality.
  • Dynamic work style and high goal orientation.
  • Motivated and willing to learn quickly.
  • Proficient in relevant controlling instruments and common MS-Office programs, especially Excel.
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus.
