Project Management Specialist for Large-Scale ERP Transformation

Job Description

The METRO Group is seeking a Project Management Specialist to lead the operational steering of the S/4HANA Finance Transformation project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project's complexities and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.

  • Project Management and Oversight: Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to all stakeholders' satisfaction.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the steering committee and joint business/IT project leadership to develop a business transformation approach that aligns with the company's strategic vision.
  • Value and Impact Focus: Set up a content and value-oriented transformation office that drives significant organizational impact.
  • Stakeholder Management: Facilitate detailed reviews and decision meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between the program team and external partners.
  • Risk and Compliance Management: Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Change Management: Lead change management initiatives, ensuring timely alignment with key decision-makers to secure organization-wide buy-in.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, preferably with experience in managing large-scale ERP or finance transformation projects. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for this role.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven track record (at least 3-5 years) in project management, preferably with experience in managing large-scale ERP or finance transformation projects.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: basic understanding of S/4HANA Finance and core business processes.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Leadership: Capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
