In order to support the Attitude and Orbit Control System (AOCS), Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) & Flight Dynamics department, Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Engineer to work on a challenging project.
The Next Generation Gravity Mission (NGGM) is a cutting-edge space mission that requires the development of advanced satellite control systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for deriving a robust performance model for the paired flying satellites of the NGGM mission.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and talented individual to contribute to the success of our mission. You will work closely with our experienced team of engineers and scientists to develop and implement a robust model of the NGGM system, including parametric uncertainties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Derive a robust performance model for the paired flying satellites of the NGGM mission.
- Develop and implement a Linear Fractional Transformation (LFT) model for the NGGM system.
- Apply the derived LFT model for robustness and sensitivity analysis of the NGGM in science operation.
- Document work and collaborate with the team to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
- Enrolled as a full-time Aerospace Engineering Master student or similar field of study.
- Excellent knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and dynamics and robust control.
- Desired knowledge in rendezvous applications.
- English is mandatory, German would be an asset.
