Accounting Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic Finance team at Envalior. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the reporting of several legal entities, including managing day-to-day accounting activities, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, audits, and other local compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP (HGB), and internal guidelines.
  • Responsible focal point for outsourced shared-service provider regarding transactional accounting.
  • Evaluation of business transactions on recognition, valuation, and reporting requirement.
  • Responsible for independent preparation of statutory financial statements according to German local GAAP (HGB).
  • Assist in the preparation of tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Providing guidance for the rest of the German accounting team.
  • Act as a primary contact for the legal entities under responsibility for corporate functions, business units, external auditors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Master degree or equivalent graduate in Finance with focus on accounting.
  • Several years of professional experience in an international company or audit firm.
  • Well-founded knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and German GAAP (HGB).
  • Distinct understanding of business contexts with a high affinity for processes as well as goal and solution-oriented skills based on practice.
  • Very good analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
  • Founded SAP-Knowledge.
  • High ability to work in an international team, commitment, and resilience.
